At the beginning of this project I set out to finish this is 6 weeks. It took me a little longer than I hoped but luckily not that much longer. I am so stoked to start my next project now!
For a long time I mainly focused on the dog animation, so now that I moved onto the T-Rex, I needed more reference.
In addition to video I bought Animals in Motion by Eadweard Muybridge and it has been an invaluable source of information for creature animation. I'm so happy I have it! I have been looking at birds for T-Rex reference.
At the end of week 3, my mentor Scott gave me a critique that resulted in me having to add large changes. My critiques were to make the dog more playful and energetic and to make the T-Rex slower. Next week I am planning on playing with the timing a bit between when the dog comes in and when the T-Rex comes in.
I looked at Adam and Dog for reference on how to give my dog more personality
The senior portfolio is made up of the usual animation projects that we would do in an animation class. It's up to us to decide what to animate, how many frames it is, what rigs we use, and what our deadlines are. Here I will be documenting what I do for my projects each week.
