This week I did a lot of emailing and searching for a crew for my project:
- I created this blog!
- I emailed one of my professors, John Clapp, about students he would recommend for working on my project
- He confirmed that two people I wanted to work on the project with me were reliable and he highly recommended them, but I didn't get any new names besides that
- He gave me advice on being a leader: "Be hyper organized so you can delegate appropriately. Be clear about what you need to be done and what the goal needs to look like, but don't tell them how to do it."
- Emailed two animators that my professor Raquel Coelho recommended I proposition to work on my project. They haven't responded yet.
- Called a friend and asked her if she wanted to be my Production Assistant but haven't gotten a concrete yes or no yet.
- Emailed my mentor Scott LaFleur!!
- Met at his office at Nimble Collective and he gave me a lot of critiques on my creature animation as well as my thesis project.
- We decided that it would be best to have this project be a teaser because it is hard to tell a full entertaining story in 30 seconds.
- We looked at several shorts that were entertaining and told a story and looked at their formula to apply to this thesis.
- Establishing shot, character exploring environment, find and get object, chase scene, twist, button to end it.
- He gave me the assignment to do a thorough and well done animatic to figure out a lot of the timing and acting before going to 3D. I'm aiming to finish this in a week.

My goal is for my animatic to look like this in quality
